New Beginnings

Happy New Year!   I have taken thousands of photographs in pursuit of this hobby.  I selected 39 for my exhibit that caused me much angst.  Two weeks ago I took what I consider to be one of the most important images of my life, a portrait of my uncle and aunt.  On June 4 2007 I took a snapshot of an event that changed my life and I certainly hope that change will be with me the rest of my life.

What I’ve found is the imagery I take for the sake of ‘art’ is important to me, but pales in comparison to the imagery which I capture for myself, snapshots.  Like millions of people around the world, the visual momentos we all capture and treasure are the most important photos of our lives.  It’s something I’m proud to share with the rest of humanity.  So today I post a snapshot that was taken on the very day I met Tracy face to face for the very first time, June 4 2007 at 1:16 PM PST.

The happiness we both deserve happened months before New Year’s Day 2008 and I wish the same for each of you.  Happy New Year.
